Abstract

1,074,171. Multiposition selecting keys. OLYMPIA WERKE A.G. Feb. 2, 1965 [Sept. 21, 1964], No. 4468/65. Heading G4B. A selecting key 9 (Fig. 1) is adjustable to four positions to control the keys 61, 62, 63, 64, of a keyboard of a calculating machine. When an operation of the machine has been carried out a support member 40 is moved by a hook 44 so that the switch lever 35 rotates in a counterclockwise direction. With the selecting key 9 in the position of Fig. 1 this results in the " intermediate total " key 64 being actuated by a switch cam 15a on a slider 14 rotating with the switch lever 35. When the selecting key 9 is depressed the slider 14 is moved to the left via a connecting piece 19 so that a switch cam 15b depresses the "total" key 61. When the depressed selecting key 9 is moved to the right in Fig. 1 the switch cam 15b simultaneously actuates the keys 61, 62 for the total to be accumulated positively in the accumulation mechanism. Similarly when the key is moved to the left switch cams 15b and 15c simultaneously actuate keys 61, 63 so that the total is accumulated negatively in the accumulation mechanism.
