[Also in Division D1] Panels or sheets of fibre glass reinforced polyurethane are produced by pulling a web of glass fibres, in which the fibres are substantially transverse the web, from a roll 1 and thereby causing a considerable expansion in web thickness, and feeding the expanded web together with upper and lower layers 4, 4 of glas gauze between conveyer belts 6, 6<SP>1</SP> where the fibres are sprayed with a polyurethane foam which extends throughout the web thickness and quickly sets. Sheets of corrugated form may be produced by shaping the belts or by providing movable moulds at the outlet end of the belts. The expanded web between the layers 4, 4<SP>1</SP> may be reinforced by fibre cords arranged longitudinally, transversely and in zig-zag fashion, some of which cords may protrude from the sides, ends or surfaces of the formed panel providing ,tufts which assist in the joining of adjacent panels together. By slightly lifting longitudinally arranged reinforcing cords located adjacent the lower surface of the web during the foam setting period, the glass fibres may take up a sinuous form in the transverse direction of the web.
