[Also in Division H2] A housing for switchgear, transformers, &c. is assembled from a plurality of prefabricated synthetic plastics corner connectors (A) (Fig. 1, 2, not shown), bars B (Figs. 4, 5, 6, 7, not shown), and plates D interengaging with one another. In assembly projections (1) of the corners (A) are inserted into longitudinal bores 4 of the bars B and plates D are slid into shaped slots 3, 5; the slots 3, 5 may be continued through corners (A) to facilitate assembly, otherwise the corners of plates D are cut away. The bars B may be of triangular cross-section and may provide for internal partitions in the housing. The bores 4 can also be employed to support other attachment members such as the hinge of a door F which may also be assembled from prefabricated parts. The door F is sealed by a rubber strip E in one of the slots 5. The enlarged edges of plate D may be omitted, the plates being secured in place by adhesive or pins.
