Abstract

A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is substantially wax free and comprises an amorphous copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, and either natural rubber or a synthetic polymer having a molecular weight of at least 1000, and an amount of organic solvent or dispersing medium at least 20% by weight of the composition, removal of which yields adhesive. Resins, fillers and curing agents may be present. In examples are used: said copolymers; polyvinyl isobutyl ether, liquid polyvinyl ethyl ether, liquid polyvinyl isobutyl ether, liquid polybutene polychloroprene, aqueous polyvinyl alcohol, hydrogenated resin ester, surface-active agent, petroleum naphtha, isopropyl acetate, toluene, water, china clay, metaphenylenediamine.
