Abstract

1,071,228. Hair switches. HAUER & CO. Ltd. May 9, 1966, No. 20380/66. Heading A4V. A hair switch comprises hair secured to a tape having attached to at least the central part of its free face a strip of the hook type portion of a "touch and close" fastener so that the hooks of the strip grip the existing hair and prevent displacement of the switch. The "touch and close" fastener is a fastener comprising two strips one bearing a number of tiny hooks (the hook type portion )and the other having a number of tiny loops. Preferably the tape is open ended and a hook type and loop type portion of "touch and close" fastener is attached respectively to each end so that the ends may be adjustably connected to form a loop to pass over the head, by pressing the corresponding faces together. The natural or synthetic hair is secured to the tape, for example, by securing it between two tapes which are stitched together.
