A plant for heating and/or cooling buildings comprises hot and cold air generators 1, 2 respectively, interchangeably connectible through delivery and return pipe systems 3, 4 respectively to horizontal radiating elements 15<SP>1</SP> forming part of the vertical walls of a room 6. The air flow through each set of elements 15<SP>1</SP>, circulated by fan 5, is regulated by shutter 9 in branch 7 leading to distributing header 10, from where the air passes through parallel flow conduits formed by hollow blocks or tiles 13 which form part of the walls of the room 6, to collecting header 11 to return to the generators 1, 2. Hot air may be circulated through elements near the floor, and cold air through elements near the ceiling.
