Abstract

An inflatable cuff for measurement of blood pressure comprises an inflatable bag having front and rear walls of heat-weldable plastics material, the bag being closed by weld seams, an arm band of similar plastics material extending alongside and beyond the bag and joined to the bag by at least one of the weld seams of the bag, and means for releasably retaining the arm band on a patient. The plastics material may be nylon fabric coated with polyvinyl chloride film. The invention is illustrated with reference to drawings which illustrate a bag blank and an arm band blank which may be placed together and welded to form an inflatable cuff.
