Abstract

1,067,853. Hair drying hoods. SIEMENSELECTROGERATE G.m.b.H. July 8, 1964 [July 9, 1963], No. 28238/64. Heading A5R. A hair dryer hood 1 is made of foldable or collapsible plastics material and has air pockets 6 into which hot drying air is introduced from source 4 via tube 3 and socket 2, so that the hot air fills the pockets to cause the hood to take a self-supporting bell shape such that the hood freely surrounds the user's head, and from which pockets 6 the drying air passes through apertures 7 into the interior of the hood. The air pockets 6 may be arranged in rib-like manner or so that they extend spirally. The hood may be mounted on stand 5 and the whole apparatus, when not in use, may be housed in box 9.
