Abstract

A hands free hairdryer fig 1 includes a base 1 which contains the hairdryer mechanism with on off switch and heat and power regulator switch 2. Attached to the base at 4 is a self supporting flexible heat resistant hose 3 through which the air flows to an outlet 5. Attachment Fig 2 may be added to the outlet: This contains three vents 6 and end outlet 7. A variation to this model Fig 3 has a base without hairdryer mechanism, attached to a self supporting flexible hose containing the electrical flex with the hairdryer attached to the end of the hose and attachments 8.

Description

Description
TITLE
Hairdryer
FIELD OF INVENTION
The invention relates to a hairdryer of a type which is hands free to enable positioning on a table/dressing-table, wall mounted or attached to a mobile stand on wheels.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Hairdryers are well known but suffer from having to be held in position leaving only one hand free to brush and style hair with the constant added difficulty of having to switch on and off or put down during the pricess of drying and styling. There already exists a hands free model, however it does not allow for modern styling techniques and differs totally in style and usage.
ESSENTIAL FEATURES
Stiff flexible hose attached to the base allowing for air outlet to be positioned where required. This is constructed of a stiff controllable flexible material able to withstand twisting and bending and resistant to high temperatures.
The base unit (which can be free standing, wall mounted or fixed to a stand) comprises of known means (not shown) for generating air flow.
The air outlet positioned at the end of the hose.
A variation to be a hairdryer constructed of known means and lightweight material attached to a base by a flexible coiled material of known construction.
Attachment nozzles can be fitted to the end of the hose (or hairdryer). Alternative attachment nozzle contains three vents to disperse hot air evenly across a larger surface area, and end air outlet.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
FIG. 1 is the complete hairdryer FIG. 2 is a view of the rotating attachment feature 2 containing three vents/air outlets and end air outlet FIG. 3 is a variation to FIG. 1 and illustrates hairdryer attached to base by flexible coil construction containing electrical flex.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF HOW THE INVENTION MAY BE PERFORMED
As illustrated in FIG. 1, the hairdryer consists of a base unit 1 comprising of known means and material not shown, for generating air flow with on and off switch and heat and power regulators 2. A flexible hose 3 constructed of a stiff controllable flexible material able to withstand twisting and bending and resistant to high temperatures, is attached to the base and hot air flow outlet 4. The end of the hose is circular and finished in a hard plastic construction of known material with air vent flow 5.
FIG. 2 illustrates the rotating nozzle of known material having three vents 6 and an air outlet at the tip 7 which concentrates air flow.
FIG. 3 illustrates a variation to the above by connecting hairdryer to end of coil and base to the other end.
The hands free hairdryer works on the same principle as a hand held hairdryer, however in FIG. 1 the base contains the fan and motor with the heating elements contained in the outlet 4. In principle it differs in that between the end of the hairdryer and housing for the mechanism is a flexible hose. The base designed to stand on a work surface, wall mounted, or attached to a mobile stand and the end having a varying air outlet in order to dry a larger surface area.
The variation FIG. 3 works on the same principle as a hand held hairdryer however the hairdryer is attached to a flexible coil and base to allow drying and styling hands free.
