Abstract

1,066,872. Turbine blades. LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS - G. m.b.H. Oct.25, 1963, No.42227/63. Heading F1T. Steam turbine stator guide blades 4 are provided with rows of overlapping slots 1b,. (1a), Fig. 2 (not shown), closely adjacent each blade trailing edge and communicating through the concave and convex sides respectively of the blade with a space (3) within the blade. The space (3) communicates with radially inner and outer manifolds 6 welded to the blades so that water particles collected on the blade surfaces can pass through the slots into the manifolds 6 and thence to the turbine condenser. The slots may be replaced by overlapping round holes.
