Abstract
1,062,523. Electric analogue calculating. SPECTO Ltd. March 19, 1963 [Dec. 19, 1961], No. 45420/61. Heading G4G. [Also in Division H3] A waveform generator comprises a plurality of resistors connected via a common resistor to the input of a virtual-earth amplifier, current being switched in sequence through the resistors so as to develop the required waveform, the common resistor determining the effective load on the plurality of resistors. In Fig. 6 pulses are fed in sequence to a series arrangement of resistors (R1 ... R26) and via a high value resistor R L <SP>1</SP> to the virtual-earth amplifier Tr4. The input voltage may assume a staircase waveform which is converted to a sawtooth waveform by a feedback capacitor (C fb ). Current from other resistor arrangements may be fed in under control of gating transistors (Tr1 ... Tr3). A buffer amplifier and low-pass filter (Fig. 3, not shown) may be interposed between the resistors and the amplifier. In Fig. 1 (not shown) current pulses are fed in sequentially via parallel resistors. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 895,201.
