Abstract

1,061,509. Liquid containers. TEPAR A.G. Jan. 31, 1966 [Feb. 10, 1965], No. 4222/66. Heading B8P. A package for fluent material is formed from an outer layer of paper or cardboard 5, Fig. 3 (not shown), and an inner layer 6 in the form of a bag of thin thermoplastic material, an aperture 8 being formed through both the members 5, 6 and lines 13, 16 and 17 being cut through the outer layer 5 on and adjacent the nearest end fold of the package, thereby providing a sharp edge 18 to aid pouring. The aperture 8 is covered before use, the cover extending to protect the pouring edge 18. Further lines 14, 15 and 16, 17 prevent the edge 18 from folding in during manufacture. Ridges or grooves 19 may be embossed on either side of the aperture 8 to form flow lines. The bag is sealed to the member 5 at certain points only, preferably round the aperture 8.
