Abstract

1,060,602. Bed-settees. J. CINNAMON Ltd. April 9, 1964 [Jan. 9, 1963], No. 950/63. Heading A4J. A convertible bed-settee comprises a back 7 and seat 8 supported on a base structure 1 by a pair of linkages 12 each of which includes a first link 13 attached to the back 7 and pivotally mounted at 17 to a stationary link 16 which is attached to the base structure 1, a second link 14 pivoted at 18 to the lever 13 and pivoted at 19 to the seat 8 and to an upstanding third link 15, the link 15 being pivoted at 21 to the stationary link 16 for swinging movement through and beyond a vertical plane intersecting the axis of the pivot 21. Pivotal movement of the seat 8 is limited by a projection 22 on the seat extending into a slot 23 in the lever 14. The back and seat are retained in both the seat and bed positions by pins 26 in the base 1 engaging stop members 25 in the seat 8.
