Abstract

1,060,017. Bow form. PAUL LINDENAU SCHIFFSWERFT UND MASCHINENFABRIK. Aug. 27, 1965, No. 36883/65. Headings B7A and B7M. A bow bulb for ships comprises upper and lower laterally extending flanks with a confluence forming a protrusion called a breaking edge located in the region of the largest width of said bow bulb. The bow bulb may be formed with the breaking edge or the latter may be attached to an existing bow bulb. The breaking edge dampens the pitching movement of the ship.
