Abstract

1,059,437. Rasping tyres. R. ANTRAIGUE. Sept. 3, 1965, No. 37827/65. Heading B4B. Rasping of tyres is effected by a rotatable rasping tool movable transversely to the tyre C, the direction of rotation of the tool being reversed between the terminal positions of the arm. Control of a reciprocatory pivoted arm 13 carrying the tool is effected by stops 15, 17 co-operating with the arm, and control of the rotational direction of the tool is effected by a similar stop member 19 also co-operating with the arm. The tyre itself is rotated about its axis a during operation of the device.
