A screwing die-head comprises a rear-plate a integral with or mounted on the spindle of a screwing-machine, an annular-plate f angularly movable relatively to the rear-plate, a cam-ring e angularly adjustable on the annular-plate, a clamping-stud k on the cam-ring working in an arcuate-slot of the annular-plate for setting the dies to a required diameter, a clamping- stud g on the annular-plate working in an arcuate-slot h in the rear-plate to determine the open and closed positions of the dies, and means s for enabling springs n, p to open the dies automatically when a screwing-operation has been completed.
