1,059,242. Pistons. CROSS MANUFACTURING CO. (1938) Ltd. Dec. 29, 1965 [Feb. 16, 1965], No. 6616/65. Heading F2T. In a piston and ring assembly comprising a light metal piston 1 having a steel or other hard metal bearing ring 2, a sealing ring 4 is located in a groove in the piston and engages the inner face of the bearing ring. The latter is housed in,a groove 3 in the piston. The rings 2 and 4 may be helical.
