Abstract

1,058,465. Converting. COMPAGNIE DES COMPTEURS. Oct. 16, 1964 [Oct. 29, 1963] No. 42356/64. Heading H2F. A high voltage supply circuit, suitable for providing the acceleration voltage and focusing voltage for a vidicon tube in television apparatus by utilizing line-suppression pulses, comprises a transistor 11 whose base is supplied with the pulses and whose emitter-base path includes a parallel resonant circuit 13, 14, tuned to a frequency whose half-period is equal to the interval of between successive pulses, the inductive part of the resonant circuit comprising the primary winding 13 of a transformer 15 whose secondary winding 18 feeds two rectifier and filter circuits 16, 17 to provide outputs U1, U2. A capacitor in the base of the transistor ensures that the transistor is blocked thereby removing the output voltages in the absence of the signal pulses. Zener diodes stabilize the output voltages.
