Abstract

1,057,376. Amplifying circuits. CONSOLIDATED ELECTRODYNAMICS CORPORATION. April 20, 1964 [Oct. 14, 1963], No. 16365/64. Heading H3W. A number of D.C. signals from terminals 1-4 are sequentially amplified by connection to the input of an A.C. amplifier 18 via rotating switch 14 and capacitor 17. The path between each of the terminals 1-4 and switch 14 includes in series one of a number of primary windings 10-13 on transformer 9, the secondary 30 of which is connected to the output of amplifier 18 so as to provide negative feedback. The output is diverted to the corresponding one of the output circuits 22-25 by means of a rotating switch 20 synchronized with the switch 14. As shown, each output circuit comprises an R.C. smoothing network feeding a meter indicating the corresponding input potential. The transformer primary windings may be graded so as to equalize the outputs from the amplifier.
