Abstract

1,056,619. Tea trolleys. LITRON Ltd. Dec. 9, 1965 [Dec. 29, 1964], No 52631/64. Heading A4H. A folding tea trolley comprises pairs of legs 5 pivoted together at the upper ends 12, cross-bars 22 (Fig. 2, not shown) extending between the legs of each pair, a bracing member 6 hinged at its opposite ends 7 to the legs 5 and formed in two parts 6a, 6b which are hinged together as at 8, a pair of pushing handles 14 each hinged as at 15 to the legs 5, and a lever 17 pivoted at one end 16 to the free end of a handle 14 and at the other end to one part of the bracing member 6. The trolley is folded by downward movement of the handles 14 to pivot the legs 5 towards each other. An upper tray 20 is supported at the centre of its sides on horizontal top portions 9 of the legs 5 and at its ends on handle cross-bars 19. A lower tray 21 is supported at its ends on the cross-bars 22. An extension on one part 6a of the bracing member 6 overlaps the other part 6b and the parts are formed with a co-operating projection and recess providing a releasable snap engagement to lock the bracing member.
