Abstract

1,055,959. Warning lamps. PIFCO Ltd. Dec. 10, 1965 [Dec. 21, 1964], No. 51943/64. Heading F4R. A warning lamp for use to indicate road obstructions comprises a casing 1 having a transparent or translucent dome 2 in which is a bulb 4 and reflector 5, either the reflector or the reflector and bulb being mounted on a turntable 6 driven by an electric motor through a system of pulleys and belts from a storage battery located within the casing, which also supplies the bulb through a slip ring 8 and contact arm 16. An on-off switch 17 is provided. The lamp is supported on three legs 19 secured to a metal ring 20 having a ring of plastics on the underside. Alternatively, a suction cup may be provided on the underside of the base for securing the lamp to a vehicle body.
