1,055,797. Contacting gases with liquids. C. G. MUNTERS. June 18, 1963 [June 27, 1962], No. 32410/66. Divided out of 1,055,796. Heading B1R. [Also in Division F4]. Apparatus for obtaining mass and/or heat exchange between a gas and a liquid has a contact body 10 composed of corrugated sheets arranged one against the other and with the corrugations in adjacent sheets oppositely inclined to the vertical which is supplied with liquid at its upper end and is so disposed that the gas passes through the body and crosses the streams of liquid descending therethrough. Suitable contact bodies are described in Specifications 1,055,796 and 1,055,798.
