Abstract

Liquid or pasty washing agents contain 10-60 weight per cent of surface-active substances comprising (a) C8-24 olefinic sulphonates, (b) C8-24 olefin disulphonates, and (c) at least one other anionic or non-ionic surfactant ingredient, ingredient (b) constituting 0.5-25 weight per cent of the washing agent. Ingredient (c) may be an alkali metal soap, a primary or secondary alkyl sulphate, a sulphonated alkyl- or alkylphenyl-polyglycol ether, an alkylbenzene sulphonate, an a -sulpho fatty acid ester, an alkyl- or alkylphenyl-polyglycol ether, a fatty acid sarcoside, a fatty acid isethionate, or a fatty acid tauride or N-alkyl tauride. The cation of the anionic surfactants may be Na, K, NH4, or mono-, di- or tri-ethanolamine. Optional additives mentioned include alkali metal carbonates, poly-, pyro- and meta-phosphates, and silicates, starch or cellulose derivatives, salts of polyacrylic or polymethacrylic acid, and solvents such as mono- or polyhydric alcohols, polyglycols and polyglycerines.
