Abstract

A disinfectant composition comprises sodium p-toluenesulphonbromamide (bromamine) and a detergent. Additional ingredients include per-salts, sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, Glauber's salt, sodium chloride, soluble phosphates, silicates, cellulose ethers and esters, starch, perfumes, dyestuffs, superfatting agents, abrasives and sterilizers. The detergent may be a fatty acid salt (soap) or any synthetic foaming or wetting agent. The compositions may be used as powders, pastes or solutions. An example describes an aqueous composition comprising bromamine, alkali salts of fatty acids obtained by saponification of a mixture of tallow, coconut oil and olive oil, sodium carbonate, calcite, water glass, magnesium sulphate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium perborate, perfume and dyestuff. Specification 392,814 is referred to.ALSO:A disinfectant composition comprises sodium p-toluenesulphonbromamide (bromamine) and a detergent.
