Abstract

1,055,323. Deformation image forming. RANK XEROX Ltd. May 1, 1964 [May 3, 1963], No. 18250/64. Heading G2H. An apparatus for reproducing an original comprises means to form a deformation image on a smooth dielectric surface 13 Fig. 3, means for applying an electrostatic charge to the image bearing surface, developing means for applying electrostatic developer particles, and means for transferring the deposited particles to a secondary support. The apparatus for forming the deformation is generally similar to that described with reference to Specification 1, 049, 881. Apparatus is described, Figs. 8 and 9 (not shown). Wherein the image on rotary drum 10 passes through, charging, exposure, heating, cooling, recharging, developing, transfer and erasure stations. Copy sheets to the transfer station under the control of a photo-electric detector 88 and are fed from the transfer station by an endless conveyer. The required number of copies is selected by a selector switch 97 in a control circuit Fig. 10 (not shown).
