Abstract

1,055,225. Retractable fountain pens. S. NAKATA. Sept. 21, 1965 [Jan. 22, 1965], No- 40235/65. Heading B6P. In a retractable fountain pen, an aperture 1<SP>1</SP> in the outer head portion 1 and an aperture 3<SP>1</SP> in the inner head portion 3 are closed respectively by covers 6 and 4. The cover 4 is of resilient material and has a leg which is secured to the periphery of the inner head portion 3 by a ring 7. The covers are hinged together by a connecting member 5, whereby the advancing and retracting movement of the pen point causes simultaneous opening and closing of the covers 6 and 4.
