Abstract

[Also in Division E1] A building panel comprises aluminium or steel facings 10, 10a held together by a filling of cast in places foamed polyurethane two marginal edges of each facing being formed to provide an interlock with juxtaposed similar panels. One facing may be formed with strengthening folds such as are provided by the grooves 20 and a strip of wood or spaced wooden or plastic blocks 22 may be provided at one edge of the panel between the facings. The panels are secured to each other and, in a building, to an angle-sectioned support member by screws and rivets. Window and door openings may be provided in each panel. In a modification, the panel is roll-formed from a single sheet of material which is shaped to provide two integral opposed facings between which the foamable material is inserted.
