Abstract

The blades 2 of a parallel blade louvre are fitted at one or both ends into slots 4 of gear-wheels 3 which mesh with the gear or gears of the adjacent blade or blades. The gears are made of nylon and have journals 5, Fig. 5 (not shown), located in nylon bearing sleeves 6 in the louvre frame. Seals 8 may be provided along one or both edges of each louvre blade.
