Abstract

105,151. Avery, W. & T., and Cox, H. N. May 31, 1916. Steelyard apparatus.-A poise-weight carrier 6 for use with a steelyard 1, having two or more series 2, 3 of notches, for weighing in different standards, is provided with positioning nibs 7, 8 and depressions 9, 10, so that the carrier may be rocked into engagement with either series of notches as desired, the poise weight 12 entering the corresponding recess 9 or 10. Wing-pieces 13, 14 extending beneath the steelyard prevent displacement of the carrier due to excessive oscillation of the steelyard.
