1,049,391. Bed settees; seat adjustments. W. STEEL & CO. Jan. 17, 1964 [Jan. 17, 1963], No. 2092/63. Heading A4J. A bed-settee comprises a folding section 3 adapted in the seat position to overlie a centre section 1 supported on legs 2, the folding section 3 being provided with arms 18 which, in the bed position support the folding section 3. The arms 18 may be detachable, the section 3 being provided with a leg member 22 forming alternative supporting means. A further section 4 is pivotally connected to the centre section 1 and is adapted to be swung from a backrest position to a horizontally extending position. A folding leg 16 is carried on the section 4 to support the section in its horizontal position. The backrest section 4 is pivotally supported on a plate 10 by means of a stud 11 sliding in an inclined slot 12, a pin 14 secured to the section 4 being engageable with indentations 13 in the plate 10 to provide various inclinations. The arms 18 are outwardly spaced from the sides of the section 3 so that the backrest section 4 can be folded to lie between the arms 18.
