Abstract
1,049,383. Filters. DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT CO. June 4, 1963 [June 4, 1962], No. 22241/63. Heading G2J. [Also in Divisions G1 and H1] A filter as in Specification 1, 039, 151 in which a grid of lines is provided on both surfaces of a transparent sheet and a clear transparent sheet is interleaved between the sheets carrying the grid lines. As shown, a transparent sheet 10 has grid lines printed in registry on both surfaces by rollers 28, the registry being checked by a collimated beam of light 42 which passes through a selected area of the sheet and the intensity of which is measured on a photo-electric instrument 50. The filter is then formed by building alternate layers of sheets carrying the grid lines and clear sheets, the registration of the grid lines being checked in the manner set out above. The completed filter may be moulded to match the curvature of a cathode ray tube and be fixed thereto with a transparent cement (Fig. 6 not shown).
