A flame tube in a gas turbine engine has a wall structure comprising an outer cylindrical wall portion 10 surrounding inner cylindrical portions 14 to form a double-skin construction. Adjacent portions 14 overlap slightly axially and have corrugated spacers 18, Fig. 3 (not shown), at the position of overlap. Portions 14 are supported from the outer wall portion 10 at their upstream ends by circumferentially spaced resilient strip metal fingers 17. Cooling air is supplied to the annular space between the inner and outer wall portions.
