1,047,978. Polyester yarns. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Aug. 31, 1965 [Sept. 9, 1964], No. 36937/64. Heading B5B. Yarns are prepared by melt-spinning poly- (ethylene - 1 : 2 - diphenoxyethane - 4 : 4<SP>1</SP> - dicarboxylate) or its copolyester in which at least 85% of the structural units are of the specified kind, and cold-drawing the resultant yarn in two stages. At the first stage is used either a snubbing-pin at above 70‹ C. and up to 130‹ C. or a feed-roll at above 50‹ C. and up to 90‹ C.; at the second stage is used a plate or feed-roll at 170-200‹ C.
