Abstract

1,046,369. Incinerators. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORPORATION. Nov. 13, 1964 [Dec. 9, 1963], No. 46354/64. Heading F4W. A waste incinerator comprises a bin 3 which holds the waste, in the form of a plug 7, compressed by an inflatable bag 8 into contact with a mesh of electric heating elements 4, 5, 6. Air is supplied through a port 12 and the combustion gases extracted by a fan 16 after mixing with cold air from port 15. The ash left by the burnt waste is flushed through a drain 23 by water from a supply 21.
