Abstract

1,043,935. Bunks. HORATIO MYER & CO. Ltd. Aug. 25, 1965 [Aug. 25, 1964], No. 34828/64. Heading A4J. A bunk has adjacent each end a pair of uprights 3 which form the legs of the bunk and are set in a substantial distance from the end of the bunk. Each of the uprights is secured to a side panel 4 which is hingedly connected to a transverse end panel 5 at the adjacent end of the bunk. The uprights 3, side panels 4 and end panels 5 are detachably secured to the frame 1 of the bedspring of the bunk by three bolts 7. A double bunk is formed by resting uprights 3 of an upper bunk on corresponding uprights of a lower bunk to which they are releasably secured by pivoted, slotted plates 9 and nuts 10. A pair of removable safety rails 11 is mounted in slots 12 in the upper uprights.
