104,367. Minerals Separation, Ltd., (Lyster, F. J.). Feb. 26, 1916. Surface-tension separating apparatus.-Apparatus for carrying out the froth-flotation process comprises a separating-vessel A having mounted therein, preferably adjustably, one or more bottomless vessels E into which, and preferably below the surface of the liquid therein, pulp is admitted from a feed-box H through pipes K provided with openings L through which air is drawn by the flow of the pulp. The vessels E are provided with baffles M and with overflow launders G through which the froth is removed, and the vessel A has an overflow D and an adjustable outlet B at the bottom through which the residues may pass to the feed-box of the succeeding separating-vessel of a series.
