Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of formula RCOCH(R1)OCOR2, wherein R and R2 are alkyl, substituted alkyl, terpenyl, aryl, substituted aryl or a heterocyclic group and R1 is CN or N-substituted CONH2. These compounds are made by halogenating RCOCH2R1 to give RCOCHXR1 (X = halogen) followed by reaction of the latter in a solvent with an organic acid or its alkali metal salt, preferably in presence of an amine such as Et3N.
