Abstract

The invention comprises compound of the general formula <FORM:1111905/C2/1> wherein R and R1 are the same or different and are C1- 6 alkyl radicals. The compounds are prepared by nitrating a compound of the general formula <FORM:1111905/C2/2> to give a compound of the formula <FORM:1111905/C2/3> which is then reduced to the desired product using a reducing agent which will reduce using a reducing agent which will reduce nitrobenzene to aniline.
