An agricultural tractor or shovel loader wherein two driving axles 7, 8 are angularly adjustable about a vertical steering pivot and one axle 7 or 8 is pivoted about a longitudinal axis includes a disc brake 6 on a universally jointed transmission shaft 5 driving differential gearing incorporated in each axle 7, 8. An engine 1 is connected through a gear-box 2 and a gear train, chain or belt drive within a housing 4 to the transmission shaft 5. An hydraulic steering jack 16 is supplied by a valve (not shown) actuated by a link connected to a lever 22 pivoted coaxially with the vertical steering pivot and rotated by a link 22 coupled to the drop arm 23 of a steering box 24 actuated by a steering wheel 24.
