Abstract

A pharmaceutical composition having antidepressant activity, in dosage unit form, comprises a compound having the general formula <FORM:1039454/A5-A6/1> or an acid addition salt thereof, wherein R1 and R2, which may be the same or different, represent hydrogen or methyl, R3 represent hydrogen or methyl, R4 represents methyl, and R5 represents methyl or b -phenylisopropyl, or R4 and R5 are joined together to form with the nitrogen atom a piperidino group and a carrier. The compositions may be administered parenterally, orally, or rectally, together with one or more conventional diluents and/or excipients.
