Abstract
1, 037, 607. Winding rope on reels. KAWASAKI JUKOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Oct. 13, 1964, No. 41677/64. Heading D1J. [Also in Division B8] Ship mooring apparatus comprises a reeling machine 11, Fig. 4, driven by an electric motor 21 through a slipping clutch 20 and mounted below deck for use in combination with a separately driven capstan or windlass 1, Fig. 1 (not shown), mounted on the deck. The controls for the reeling machine motor are mounted above deck in the region of the capstan so that the whole of mooring and winding operation may be controlled from above deck. The reeling machine comprises travelling guide pulleys 16, 17 on a traversing carriage 15 for layering the rope, which is additionally retained on the drum 11 by the pressure of rollers 23 mounted on a pivoted frame 22.
