A flexible sliding clasp fastener comprises two strips 10, 11 of flexible material each having a regular series of projections along one edge, the projections of each strip being adapted to interengage with the projections of the other strip, and each projection comprising a head portion 15 or 20 thicker in cross-section than the strip to which it is connected by a relatively narrow neck 16 or 21. The head portions 15, 20 may be reinforced with metal wire, Fig. 2, (not shown) or may be ellipsoidal, Fig. 3 (not shown). The fastener may comprise two pairs of strips, Fig. 4 (not shown).
