1,035,946. Thermographic transfer materials. K.G.SVENSSON. March 15,1963 [March 16,1962], No. 10316/63. Heading G2C. A thermographic transfer sheet comprises a support coated with a layer which is transferable between 50‹ and 150‹C.,the layer containing a waxy composition and at least one dye dissolved in benzyl alcohol or a di- or poly-hydric alcohol containing 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and a mutual solvent for the waxy composition and the dye solution so that the dye solution is dissolved in the waxy composition. Specified mutual solvents are blown vegetable or castor oil, oleic,lauric or capric acid or olegl alcohol. The polyhydric alcohol may be 1,2, 5-pentanetriol, 1, 2, 6-hexanetriol or 1, 2, 3, 6- hexanetetrol and the glycol may be ethylene, pentylene, hexylene, heptylene or octylene glycol or a glycol ether such as di-, tri- or tetra-ethylene glycol or dipropylene or dibutylene glycol.
