Abstract

1,035,721. Valves. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. Jan. 22, 1964 [Feb. 8, 1963], No. 2771/64. Heading F2V. A valve for controlling the supply of compressed air to driving means of an hydraulic pump in dependence on the pump outlet pressure, comprises a valve member 3 having a stem 2 formed with a piston 4 on its other end. The pump outlet pipe 8 is connected to a chamber 9 whereby the pump hydraulic pressure acts on piston 4 in a direction to close the valve 3. The valve is loaded to the open position by a spring 18 around the pump housing which acts on a sleeve 17, connected to the valve stem by a pin 14, and abuts a member 19 adjustable by nuts 20, 22. The air supply is closed when the pump outlet pressure reaches a predetermined value.
