In a spring seat construction sinuous springs 8 span a frame and Z-shaped bracing rods 15 are attached to straight portions near the opposite ends of adjacent springs by bands 19 and are secured to springs at intermediate points by bands 22. Edge springs are connected to the frame by helical springs 26 and links 24 connect them to an adjacent spring.
