1,058,748. Leaf springs. NIPPON HATSUJO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Oct. 7, 1964. No. 40830/64. Heading F2S. A spring means comprises a main spring 21 and an auxiliary spring. The main spring consists of a plurality of leaf springs and the auxiliary spring a number of bar springs 23, the bar springs 23 being curved less than the leaf springs in a vertical plane passing through the spring means along its length. The bar springs are arranged parallel to and spaced from each other as by a collar 33 and are joined adjacent their ends and at their centres by uniting means. The main spring and auxiliary spring are arranged in such a manner that the centres of the bar springs engage the lower surface of the lowest leaf of the main spring. The bar springs may be circular in cross-section or may be part circular with flat vertical faces (Figs. 5 to 8, not shown).
