Abstract

1,032,808. Pulley tackle. J. L. BOTHA, and W. J. J. CRONJE. April 29, 1963 [March 15, 1963], No. 16812/63. Heading B8B. Pulley tackle apparatus for hauling bushes 21, Fig. 3, out of the ground comprises multiple pulley blocks A, B, one of which carries an anchor such as a spiked chain 17 for attachment to a fixed point such as the base of a tree 15 and the other of which carries a chain 20 to which a plurality of cables 22 are attached for hauling the bushes 21. The pulley blocks comprise multiple pulleys 5, 6, 7, Fig. 2 (not shown), on shafts 8 between parallel side plates 1, 2. Skids 13 are attached by members 14 to the side plates 1, 2 to protect the blocks when sliding along the ground. Guide pulleys 10, 11 are provided for the outgoing rope 19 which is hauled manually or attached to a tractor.
