Abstract

1,224,074. Pulley blocks. LEDGER EQUIPMENT Ltd. 5 June, 1969 [8 June, 1968], No. 27383/68. Heading B8B. A hoisting pulley block includes an arm 7 pivoted thereto for containing a rope 11 supporting the block and to which the end of the rope is secured at 10, when a single rope system is to be used, the arm being pivoted clear of the rope when a double rope system is to be used, in which the end of the rope 11 is extended from the block to be secured to structure adjacent the rope hoisting gear. The centring arm 7 pivoted between side plates 1 of the block, is formed with a tope guide groove 8 and abuts a stage 9 on the block during use in the single rope system.
