Abstract

103,256. Kennedy, G. L. July 3, 1916. Tyre attachments to rims; detachablerim attachments to wheels.-The ends of a split detachable rim 7 are connected by a plate 3 with lugs 4 engaging notches 6 in the rim. The rim 7 is secured against a flange 5 on the fixed rim 1 by set-screws 11 engaging countersunk recesses 9 in spacing-plates 8 carried by the rim 7. As a further security against creeping, the fixed rim is recessed at 2 to receive the plate 3.
