Abstract
1,028,525. Gas heaters. INDUSTRIECOMPANIE KLEINEWEFERS KONSTRUKTIONS - UND HANDELS GESELLSCHAFT. Jan. 21, 1964 [March 15, 1963], No. 2557/64. Heading F4S. A heater for heating gaseous media comprises a radiation zone and a connection zone. The medium that is to be heated travels through helical pipe coils, in the connection zone (A) in countercurrent to, and in the radiation zone (B) in cocurrent with a heating gas which flows axially through the heater as shown by arrow P, P<SP>1</SP>. The heating gas may be introduced through the floor of the heater or, as shown, may be generated by a burner 8. The pipe coils of both zones A and B are formed by a plurality of separate helical pipe coils through which the heated medium is conducted in parallel. The several pipe coils 14 of the connection zone connect with two annular distributers 11, 12 which are fed from the inlet pipe 10. Said pipe coils also connect by means of vertical pipes 16<SP>1</SP>. 16<SP>11</SP> with a dewatering chamber 17 (optional), provided with a draining valve 18. The pipe coils 20 of the radiation zone are brought out at equally spaced intervals from the chamber 17 and are stacked in a selfsupporting manner between the two vertical sets of pipes 16<SP>1</SP>, 16<SP>11</SP>, the upper ends 21 of pipe coils 20 connecting with a collecting cylinder 22 which is connected to an outlet pipe 23, 24 extending through a displacement body 15.
